In the legendary TRIPIT! – Exercise Festival we\u2019ll be preparing for Peace! The Festival is held as a workshop where we make collective corporeal movements, \u201cActs of Peace\u201d outside in Suvilahti square. The acts are accompanied and the atmosphere is enhanced by live brass orchestra.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How does peace look and feel like? Acts of Peace are simple actions and tasks done together. The movements broaden our perceptions of peaceful coexistence between people, its forms and possibilities. Peace does not come about simply by being calm or doing nothing. It must be invented over and over again, alone and together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop is held by Other Spaces -collective\u2019s artists Eeva Kemppi, Esa Kirkkopelto, Anu Nirkko ja Tanja Turtola. The music is performed by Otto Eskelinen and Taneli Viitahuhta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone over the age of 16 and of any fitness level is welcome. Young people over the age of 12 can participate accompanied by an adult. No previous experience in working in a group is necessary. Previous experience of Other Spaces -excercises is not needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation is free of charge. 
The language of the workshop is Finnish and English.
Duration is 3h with a break.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The workshop takes place outside, so please wear comfortable clothing and dress up according to the weather. We have indoor facilities and toilets at the Performing Arts Center, where we also offer light snacks and drinks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to get ready for peace with us!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peace Tripit!<\/em> is the first part of the Peace Mobilization<\/em> performing arts events. The participatory public happenings will be held in public places in Helsinki and Espoo in August-September 2026. We invite citizens of different ages and backgrounds to participate in the autumn events. More information will follow later!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the TRIPIT!<\/em> exercise festival we  perform some of our trippiest exercises together with the audience.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2004 Other Spaces has invented a large amount of collective corporeal transformation exercises. These exercises are a means to come into contact with non-human forms, entities and phenomena. They are an enjoyable way to be liberated from the human shape and identity, at least momentarily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first TRIPIT!<\/em> Festival was organised in May 2017. Spurred by the enthusiastic reception, in 2018 and 2019 we organised TRIPIT!<\/em> twice each year, and the festival has become an important part of our yearly operations. TRIPIT!<\/em> is a day long event, where you can come and go at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020 TRIPIT! was organized remotely via Facebook and Zoom.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
